Frequently asked questions

Do you accept insurance?
I'm out-of-network, but I provide a superbill after each session which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans cover a significant portion of out-of-network therapy. I recommend calling your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network benefits before we start.
Are sessions in person?
All sessions are virtual via secure telehealth. I see clients throughout California. No commute — just flexible, private sessions from wherever you are.
What is EMDR and how is it different from talk therapy?
EMDR targets unprocessed memories that keep you stuck in old patterns. It uses bilateral stimulation — eye movements, tapping, or sound — to help your brain complete its natural healing process. It tends to produce results more quickly than traditional talk therapy for trauma, and the changes tend to last.
Do I have to do EMDR, or can we just talk?
You're always in control. We can do EMDR, traditional talk therapy, or a blend of both. We'll figure out what fits best for you — no pressure to commit to any particular approach before we start.
How long does therapy typically take?
It depends on your goals and history. Some people feel significant relief within a few months. Others prefer longer-term work. We'll check in regularly and adjust — there's no fixed timeline.
Do you work with families?
Yes. I offer family therapy to help members better understand each other's patterns, improve communication, and navigate conflict or transition together.
Is sliding scale available?
I hold a limited number of sliding scale spots. To apply, reach out directly and share a bit about your situation — I'll let you know what's available.
How do I get started?
Book a free 15-minute consultation. It's a low-pressure chance to get a feel for each other and see if we're a good fit. No commitment required.
